craving: pastels

With pastels heading back into high street domination I find myself drawn to the soft hues of colour more and more, especially where accessories are concerned. From flats to heels and boots for flip flops a pastel pair of feet warmers is a must this summer and there's nothing wrong with having a selection of handbags, clutches and totes to go with them.

A handbag and a pair of shoes finish any outfit off and I find that shoes in particular can turn most styles into something suitable for a candlelit dinner for two or a day out shopping with the girls. A simple jersey racer back with nude pink pointed heels from Ted Baker and a beautiful baby blue David Jones hand bag works as a dressy outfit but swap out those heels for some mint New Balance trainers and the formal looking handbag with an equally green minty bucket bag for a cute day time style.

Pastels make everything that little bit more summery and in my mind beautifully girly. Thought I feel like trainers take the edge off of that sometimes. My other go-to is a pastel biker jacket, all of these items look especially great with black, grey and whites - my specialty.
