outfit: leather midi skirt
There's something about black leather clothing that everyone is loving at the moment. Granted I love it all year round but thanks to the uplift of this trend I've been building on my collection of leather clothing. My latest additions are this midi skirt and some new Dr Martens that just arrived so I thought I'd show you how I'm wearing this skirt first, more on the DM's later.
It may be something to do with my obsession of motorbikes that has me buying all of the leather goods and seeing as that won't be happening for some time this will have to do. While I have jackets and trousers aplenty I only have two skirts at the moment and no dresses - though the lack of dresses will soon be rectified as I've spotted a leather vest dress by Replay that I need in my life.
I tried on and ordered 4 leather midi skirts before picking this one (the 5th). The others all had a similar faux leather style that was neither thin nor stretchy because that's not the look I like when it comes to faux leather fashion. The fit of leather items can be tricky so it's worth shopping around to see if this trend is for you. The first 4 skirts I tried simply weren't a good fit as they either bunched up or sat too low on my hips but the final skirt is perfect.
